-The Mark of Excellence -
Over the years, Marquee owners Tom Ryan and Jeff Imobersteg have learned what their customers want and have incorporated those features into their homes. At Marquee, luxury is standard. Items thatother builders list as “upgrades” and charge extra for are included as standard features. This not only ensures a quality home, it also simplifies the number of choices the customer needs to make and helps Marquee complete the house in a timely fashion.
Jeff and Tom have the experience to back up their quality work. Jeff comes from a family of builders in upstate New York. His grandfather passed on a tradition of “old time” building skills to Jeff, who supplemented his hands-on experience with a business degree from Syracuse University. Tom also comes from a family with a construction background. His uncle was an award-winning homebuilder in New Jersey. Tom worked alongside his uncle while on breaks from Rutgers University. After Rutgers, he went on to graduate from the architectural program at Virginia Tech.
With a strong vision for the future, Marquee Builders has created a quality product for the discriminating customer who desires a construction process that simplifies and streamlines the time consuming and complex demands of decision making involved in assembling a luxury home. With good planning and organization, the experienced team at Marquee Builders is able to deliver quality homes on time and at a competitive price, while at the same time, providing an enjoyable and satisfying homebuilding experience.

A Builder for Refined Tastes
As co-founder of Saussy Burbank, Downie Saussy helped make great architecture and craftsmanship accessible to everyone. When he decided to reenter the homebuilding industry, he wanted partners who shared the same vision. Chip Shelton and Jack Furr were the perfect fit. Both Chip and Jack have been in the homebuilding industry for many years, focusing on livability and customer service.
Today, all three have brought their passion for craftsmanship, artistry and service to a new homebuilding company - Walker Madison. From their past experience they've developed a belief that people will choose quality, if you can provide it at a fair price. And when you are offering quality products, your customer service had better be on the same level. Downie, Chip and Jack will be involved in the design and construction of every home. They will personally ensure that each customer is receiving the attention they deserve - something they believe makes them unique among the region's homebuilders.
"When we design and build a home, we follow two simple principles: It must have architectural character. It must have a livable floor plan for today's lifestyles. Great architecture adds value to a home. It's not trendy. It's timeless. It makes you feel good every time you come home. And it enhances the overall desirability of the neighborhood. Livable floor plans are created with an understanding of how people live today and are adaptable to how people may live in the future. Space is used efficiently without sacrificing the character and atmosphere."
At Walker Madison, we use architectural details to create a pleasing sense of space. This enables us to also provide practical floor plans that function well. Walker Madison homes feature elements like hardwood floors, fireplaces, and nine and ten foot ceilings. Many home plans offer personal outdoor living spaces such as a porch or patio. All homes are built with quality materials - from the foundation to the shingles. We strive to design and build homes that exceed customer expectations. Architectural character, livable homes.
